Healthfest 2010: The goal of Healthfest 2010 is to reduce barriers to both traditional and alternative health services often experienced by immigrants of central Vancouver Island’s diverse communities. Healthfest 2010 will provide heath information through exhibitors’ booth, health screenings, and demonstrations. Each year, we would like to draw attention to a specific area of healthcare. This year’s theme is Healthy living/Healthy weight. |
Healthfest 2010
- Offers a setting for Healthcare Service Providers to demonstrate and promote the accessibility of their services to diverse communities
- Creates opportunities for health organizations and community service agencies to meet and establish linkages to inform & promote current and future health care initiatives
- Promotes healthy living initiatives to BC’s multi-lingual and culturally diverse communities with exhibitors offering information materials in a variety of languages
Healthfest 2010 is part of the Immigrant Welcome Centre’s commitment to creating a welcoming and inclusive community in this region, where everyone has access to its services, its benefits, and its opportunities.
