On September 30th, we observe the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, a vital opportunity to reflect on the history and ongoing impacts of residential schools in Canada. Take a moment today to reflect and educate yourself on the painful experiences endured by Indigenous peoples and the resilience of their communities.
At Central Vancouver Island Multicultural Society, we are committed to fostering understanding, healing, and respect. We encourage everyone to have meaningful conversations about truth and reconciliation, to honor the stories and traditions of Indigenous culture, and to raise awareness.
Today, Monday, September 30th 2024 there will be no programs and services. We will return to our regular business hours on Tuesday, October 1st, 2024.
