Understanding the Canadian Language Benchmarks
Service Areas – Nanaimo, Lantzville, Duncan, Parksville, Port Alberni, Tofino, and Ucluelet.
  • Free language assessment for eligible newcomers to enroll in the English classes.
  • The Canadian Language Benchmarks Placement Test (CLBPT) and the Canadian Language Benchmarks Placement Assessment (CLBPA) by certified CLB assessors.
  • Individuals seeking admission to certain professional & career programs, such as Health Care Assistant Program (HCAP), can take the CLB assessment for a fee.
  • Assessments are currently conducted in person. Remote assessments will be available soon. Stay tuned for updates.
