We are very pleased to announce that beginning April 1, 2014 the majority of our services and programs for immigrants will be funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC). Previously, Settlement Services in British Columbia were contracted with the Province of BC. We look forward to working with CIC as we continue to provide the highest quality of services to newcomers who have chosen to make the Central Island region their home.
The only real difference you will see in our services is that beginning on April 1st, if you are a Permanent Resident, you MUST bring your PR card with you each time you come to the Immigrant Welcome Centre. This is a requirement of CIC.
