Case Managers provide support for 1 year to Government Assisted Refugees that arrive through the Resettlement Assistance Program.
Case Management
CVIMS Case Managers provide essential and in-depth services including the following:
- Meeting clients in the community to support at appointments
- Conduct home visits to ensure clients are comfortable in new home and answer any questions
- Continue providing basic orientation to Canada, life skills training, healthcare and financial orientations
- Arranging for Translation & Interpretation services when required
- Assisting with completing applications for government services
- Referring to other settlement programs and community agencies
