Language Training Options for Newcomers to Canada
Language
Central Vancouver Island Multicultural Society (CVIMS) offers FREE government approved English classes for the eligible newcomers through the Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) program.
We also provide FREE English classes for Temporary Foreign Workers, Naturalized Canadian Citizens, Refugee Claimants, and Canada-Ukraine Authorization for Emergency Travel (CUAET) visa holders.
Our language classes will help you in many areas of your life in Canada. As you improve your listening, speaking, reading and writing skill, you will become competent in using English for everyday situations, such as banking, workplace, your child’s education and housing, to name a few. You will improve your job-search, computer, and presentation skills to support your success in Canada.
