“On April 14, 2016, behalf of the whole Nanaimo Chinese community, Cindy Qin, the President of Nanaimo Chinese Cultural Society (NCCS) with the company of other board members delivered a $1000 cheque to Central Vancouver Island Multicultural Society (CVIMS) for contribution and support of Syrian Refugee Fund (SRF) program. Behalf of CVIMS and SRF, Ms. Hilde Schlosar, the Executive Director and Mr. Sharif Kishawi, the President of the Board, presented at the ceremony and accepted the cheque. They expressed gratitude for NCCS with the continually support for multicultural development for the Vancouver Island.”
